The International Workshop on AI-Powered Smart Inclusive Systems : Bridging the Gap Between Technology and Accessibility (AISIS’23) will be held in conjunction with the ACS/IEEE International Conference on Computer Systems and Applications (AICCSA’23) as a special invited session.

The AISIS’23 is of interest to researchers, practitioners, and industry experts in the fields of artificial intelligence, machine learning, human-computer interaction, and social sciences, who are interested in developing and deploying AI systems that are inclusive, equitable, and accessible to all users, irrespective of age, sex, disability, race, ethnicity, origin, religion or economic or other status. We intend to invite a significant number of researchers with interest in the fields cited above.

The workshop is particularly relevant to those who are working on designing and implementing AI systems for social good, such as those in healthcare, education, environmental monitoring, and public safety. It is also of interest to those who are concerned with the ethical and social implications of AI and are looking for ways to promote inclusivity and equity in the development and deployment of AI technologies for the global sustainable development.

The goals of the workshop are to:

  1. Foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing among experts and professionals in the fields of AI to promote accessibility and diversity and reduce inequality.
  2. Explore the potential of AI-powered solutions in enhancing accessibility and promoting inclusion for people with disabilities.
  3. Address ethical considerations in the development and implementation of AI solutions for accessibility and diversity.
  4. Identify opportunities for collaboration and partnerships between academia, industry, and government to promote the development and implementation of smart systems to facilitate accessibility and diversity.
